Ecological terror - fires 
 1.7 million hectares of territory has been occupied of the Azerbaijan Republic during the 1988-93 in the result of military aggression of the Armenia. 460 kinds of wild tree and shrubs grow in occupied territories. 70 of them is endemic kind and do not grow in any place of the world in the natural shape. Qarajohra, ayifındıgi, the Araz oak, yalangoz, oriental platan, ordinary pomegranate, forest grape, pirkal, shumshad, Eldar pine, ordinary dates, willow leave pear etc kinds of trees are in endangered condition in occupied lands and to be vanished from the world fauna. At the same time 4 mammals, 8 birds, 1 fishes, 3 amphibians and reptiles, 8 insects, and 27 kinds of plants were protected here. Area of the special preserving territories of nature have been reached at present to 890 thousand hectares in the result of implementing expedient measures, from which 42997 hectares is under occupation of the Armenian aggressors. Valuable trees and other representatives of bio-diversity in Basitchay State nature reservation, Araz State nature reservation, Garagol State nature reservation, Lachin region state nature reservation, Gubadly region state nature reservation and Dashalti state reservation are still robbed today. Area of 247352 hectares of forest including 13197.5 hectares valuable forest areas, 152 nature monuments and 5 geological objects has been left in occupied regions. Armenians settled in these occupied lands had destroyed majority of these natural monuments having great importance. Moreover at result of fires made by Armenians in Garabagh region of Azerbaijan a huge damage incurred to environment, which is amounted in million manats.
